The Authority on Lesbian Life

I woke up feeling like a train hit me. This is nothing new, I have been fighting getting sick for a bit but the weather is changing too and I woke up, looked around and then promptly went back to sleep.

Which made MK happy. Even she stuck her head out the door this morning and was like”oh no” came back in and had no problems with me closing the door.

She is buried in the bed as I write this.

The thing is (now I am sliding slightly towards whining), that because I am on this kick/need of working – I can’t just stay in bed.

Which finally (and a little late) there is some emergency legislation bouncing around yet another kind of stimulus package in a way, where the government will reimburse companies for each employee being allowed to take 5 paid sick days whether they have sick days or not. Who knows if that is becoming reality but…the reality is that most people cannot miss work, cannot stay home with kids whose schools have closed because so many of us live on the edge or work in jobs cannot accommodate absence.

Ugh…I am waiting for the Sudafed to kick in. Today of all days I have to finish something that requires me to add numbers straight.

Last night I got introduced to “the Venture Brothers.” I don’t think I have laughed so hard in so long. The Venture Brothers make Family Guy and the Simpsons look like Disney trailers. The humour is very adult. Brock Sampson, The Monarch, Molotov Cocktease, the Aqua Teens….what was interesting was the humour, while adult, did not digress into a raw sex or body parts or any of the kind of immature jokes that are passed off as adult humour. Especially the Brock Sampson set, it is an over the top cartoon where Brock is a former agent who is now employeed as a combination Nanny/Body guard for a scientist and his children. His archnemesis, Molotov, is also his romatic interest and what makes what happen between them so funny is the humour is based in real life.

Any way…I am just drifting along and trying to not just connect the dots today, but heck, even find them to get them on the same page.

I am going to have coffee, yoga and do some work and then try this again.
