3 hours is not nearly enough sleep for anyone, let alone me, but…that is how the cookie crumbled yesterday. I got more work done then I think I ever have, which is good and needed and now I have to jam in an entire work day before the wedding and while finishing the Ichabod Crane outfit for the wedding. In the back of my mind is this steady chant though “truck, truck, truck” so here I am, slaving away again.
But, it is fun.
In its odd, overburdened way….I am still trying to clear the old and get ready for the new but it is such a painful process not painful, but slow and just trickling.
But it gets done. I do feel a little wonky today not having near enough sleep.
And I sat to work on the new piece “Ages” a little bit ago and all that came out was question after question after question. And some of it came from Heather Moon’s comment about that the nature of cells is that they can only communicate when they consume each other.
Notes from Ages:
- repulsion mistaken for connection
- mirrors for sight
- what is the same repeated again
- What is it within us that allows us to risk again?
- Why is not memory enough to satisfy?
- How strong is our intuition and why is it the one thing we are quickest to deny?
- What is desire that is tells us to throw caution to the wind, or tells us to wait?
- and at what age do we cease to know the sound of our own voice?
Questions and more questions and more questions – I know what the piece is about but I cannot yet explain it or touch the emotion involved, its sort of…anticipation…in a way, I think – but what is being anticipated?
These are the things I would so much rather be thinking about today but…I have to get some functional, productive and bill paying work done.
