I'm midway finished with my fifth book, House of the Muses #5: House of Many Kings. The latest in my award-winning series (Recipient of the 2008 Prism Comics Queer Press grant) is due to go on sale in December, 2009.
If you're interested in online previews, come check out the webcomic in progress at http://houseofthemuses.com/graphicnovel/

My favorite lesbian novel is the YA classic, Annie on my Mind! A beautiful and lasting work by Nancy Garden. Other works of hers, Good Moon Rising and Hear Us Out, are worthwhile as well, as is the collection Am I Blue? edited by Marion Dean Bauer, in which Garden has a piece alongside many other fine authors. Julie Anne Peters is another amazing teen-centric LGBT author. She has written about coming out as lesbian (Keeping You a Secret, Rage,) transgenderism and transsexuality (Luna,) domestic abuse (Rage,) and having same-sex parents (Between Mom and Jo,) to name but a few. How lovely that our teen sisters have these on hand, eh?

As far as adult fiction goes, the collection of short stories published by the British Diva magazine is very good, as is Jennifer McMahon's latest novel, Dismantled. It's her first adult book with queer female characters (she wrote a YA lesbian book, My Tiki Girl, which was disappointing) AND her best novel yet! Also, though I'm not bi myself, I think Bi Any Other Name was a valuable addition to queer nonfiction. Jennifer Baumgardner (of Manifesta fame) wrote a book about bisexuality too, both her own and in general, called Look Both Ways: Bisexual Politics which I found interesting and readable, if a bit scattered.

And then, of course, there's Dorothy Allison. But you knew that. ;)

I'm reading Shar Rednour's "The Femme's Guide to the Universe." Anyone else read it?

Yea, I read a lot during the summer and then switch to movies in the winter... I'm not sure why. You think it would be the other way around.

I really need to check those out. I haven't had as much time for reading anymore as I used to! :D
